Missing my hubby :(

it’s so weird, when my husband gives me the lupron injection it doesn’t hurt it stings for like 5 seconds but doesn’t hurt. For the last 2 days I gave me the injection since he is out of town and both of them hurt really bad.  oh well I just have till thursday and he will be back.  so I’m waiting on the ivf clinic to give me a call to see if I decrease the lupron to 5 units instead of 10, and I’m waiting on a new obgyn to give me a call back to see if they can work me in because they can do same day labs before 4pm  just what the ivf clinic needs and I wont have to drive 5 hours every other day. I pray that can fit me in but I am prepared to do what I have to do if they can’t.  I slept so horrible last night.. I always do when Jason isn’t here. He  is ready to come home already lol he says he just misses me like crazy and is just not interested in this years conference, I think it’s because it’s not Vegas this year lol. Well that and probably stabbing me with needles every morning.

ok I am noticing a pattern here every time we do the injection on the right side under my belly button it hurts, left doesn’t hurt at all… the right side hurts for a few seconds. so ultrasound went good I think said the uterus looked good and that I have follicles already on my ovaries 🙂 ! though I thought it was early for that lol I do however have a tiny cyst on one of the ovaries only 1.2mm. blood test I guess will be back in a couple of days. so now I’m waiting till 3pm to go get the last MRI done. More good news the hardship loan got approved from his retirement fund. less than we thought but that’s ok it buys the last follistim that we needed to ensure we can finish this round of IVF.  I feel like I can half way breathe again lol I just can’t shake the worries so far every step we take with the IVF a road block tries to stop us going forward. God I really hope this works this time around  I otherwise it will have to wait till we finish getting back out of debt again

The shot barely even stung today! We went back out today to see about a loan still and it looks as though we have a high chance of getting one but can not get it till at least the 29th this month, we also heard back today from the retirement fund about the hardship withdrawal and it looks as though we will be getting that but not as much as we thought we would have. that’s okay though as long as it covers this IVF cycle I’m good with that if by chance we would need to do another cycle we will save up this time before getting started.  So far our diet is going real good and I went for my old 3 mile walk today which felt great outside and was just beautiful. I figure I’m going to walk one day and the next I will stay home and use the stepper for  an hour, at least till I can build back up to doing the 5 1/4 mile plus swimming for an hour 1/2 plus the stepper for an hour a day. but right now I am hurting and am just so tired I figure as long as I do some type of exercise  for an hour a day it will at least let me maintain… hopefully.  Tomorrow morning I have to go get my ultrasound and blood test to see is there are any cysts and I don’t remember what else she said they were doing. that afternoon I get my MRI done on my right wrist I can’t wait to finish up all of these dr appts already….

Lupron day 4

Oh my goodness today’s shot hurt so bad! I’m hoping it was just the needle since it stopped hurting after the needle was removed. I feel so achy all over and no energy and no motivation. I want to try to get back into my old routine but right now is not a good time. It has been raining all week-long and the mosquitoes are really bad and two people in my city have the West Nile virus and one of those unfortunately has passed away, so not wanting to take a chance on it. I have my MRI of my wrist today and my bone density scan I just want to get these over with already. Just tell me already if I have it or not cause wither way I can’t do anything about till after baby is here. I think i am mostly just tired of the constant go go go…

Day 3 shot stung a little bit more today but not all achy afterward! I can’t wait till it goes from 10 units to 5 units though maybe it will sting less.  I barely slept at all last night but when I did it was filled with IVF bad dreams. I’m sure most everyone can figure out some of them, pregnancy test showing negative, or pregnancy test being positive but then miscarry, or full term but… the last one i had though I think scared me the most I believe the thought of it came from a Law & order maybe CI I’m not sure, It’s the one though that the IVF doctor uses his own sperm instead of the partners…. I believe that one scared me the most because of the violation of it. I have gone through rapes and I never want to feel that violated again. I just really praying that these dreams are normal during this process. I try really hard to stay positive and keep myself busy to not get overwhelmed by all these emotions. I’m already getting frustrated with the fact that I have gained 7 pounds… I had gotten down to 205 but once I was taken off all my medication It just got to hard to keep going for my walks and swims. I hurt everywhere so bad right now that i can barely move. The worst right now though is my extremely sharp pains (pain scale 1-10) being a 7 in my lower stomach mostly likely it’s just my scar tissue but the fibro  tells my head that it’s the worst pain ever.  Plus  I’m becoming very overwhelmed by the next two weeks. Monday I have a MRI on my left wrist and then a bone density scan,  Tues I stop taking the BCP (YAY!), Thurs I have another MRI on my right wrist (they are checking me for seronegative rheumatoid arthritis).  Friday  I have a rheumatologist appt in the morning and then another appt that afternoon and have to come home and get my husband packed up for his work conference, Sunday at 3AM I have to take Jason to Tyler airport and he will be gone till the 30th…. I just want to sleep a week…. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

Lupron Injections…

Ok so I finally received the medications in and called the IVF clinic up and they said I still have to take the Lupron today even though it is late. The Medication package is confusing in itself and I’m by myself for my first shot.  I’m feeling so emotional and overwhelmed!! The shot itself not so bad, It stings a little bit afterward but now I can’t stop crying….. Jason says he will get all the meds sorted out and have it set up where it wont confuse me anymore and says he will wake up early to give me the shot.  I don’t even know why I am crying darn it!!!

We Oh my goodness that procedure was painful only for about a min but still.  (“A sonohystogram is an ultrasound procedure which uses no radiation.  It is used to better visualize the inside of the uterus and endometrium.  Most often it is used to view fibroids and polyps, or any other abnormalities of the uterine cavity that could interfere with pregnancy.  Fibroids are usually found by your doctor during a routine physical examination.  A pelvic exam allows a physician to feel the size and shape of the uterus.  If the uterus is enlarged or irregularly shaped, fibroids may be present. A sonohystogram takes around 30 minutes.  During a sonohystogram you are positioned similar to a gynecological exam and cleaned with an antibacterial soap.l  A catheter is inserted through the cervix, and a small inflated balloon holds it in place.  Saline is injected into the uterus and ultrasound pictures are then obtained.  The procedure may cause some cramping in the abdomen, and these may last for a while after the sonohystogram.”)  So everything was normal 🙂 We then went to go talk with the nurse about our schedule, medications, consent forms, then went over the injections on how to do the injections and where and so on.  ok so the medications will not start until August 17th besides the birth control.  On the 17th I begin the Lupron (injection) every morning  at 10 units with the birth control (birth control continues till the 21st of August),  Once a cycle starts up again I will have to call them up so I can get my appointment for my next blood test and ultrasound to make sure everything still looks good. Then I add two more injections to my day which are Menopur also taken in the morning and Follistim taken at night at this point the Lupron will be dropped to 5 units. around Sept 11th I will begin going every other day to get my blood drawn to make sure that my levels are going up and everything is good, which by the way I found out today that I get to do here in Longview  so I wont be driving 5 hours a day 🙂 . Sept 16 Jason and I start taking the Z pack and I take a HCG injection then anywhere from Sept 17th to Sept 22 will be our retrieval day which they said once they gather the eggs and fertilize them we will be considered a month pregnant.  3 to 5 days after retrieval we go back to Dallas to transfer the embryo back to me. I am now pregnant and I stop all those injections and start the Progesterone injection  then  at 2 weeks after the retrieval we take a pregnancy test to make sure baby is still holding on and doing good. I continue to see the IVF doctor till I’m 6-10 weeks pregnant then I am switched back to my normal OB-GYN! 🙂

Then the last thing we discussed was our DUE DATE!!!!  Which is June 13th as long as everything goes right!!!
